2011 Pack report

So what have we been up to?

Quite a lot when I look back… We have learned to work with fire, to light fire and control it safely. To make 'billy burners' to take to camp, we made survival kits and learned to make and crack secret codes.

We learned about other countries, especially Sweden, where the World Scout Jamboree took place this year. (We learned some Swedish and learned a great Swedish game -'Kubb'.

We cooked food from around the world and made flying saucers out of CDs.

We learned some first aid with the St John's Ambulance and made paper plate puppets.

Oh, and we went on hikes and had a spooky Campfire for Halloween.

In the summer we went to Camp and for the first time ever cubs, mixed with scouts and Beavers to enjoy a range of activities including climbing, cresta run, archery and potholing (it may have been a man-made system with concrete pipes, but it was pretty tough and scary!) We took part in some great widegames and stayed up really late!!
